OLD WOOD GARDEN BEDS

Posted 868 days ago

I have some wooden garden beds which are full of old stones , the potted plants are on top of the stones due to rainage problems.I have removed all the old stones and was going to just replace with white stones -BUT - now i look at the tired wood and wonder what to replace it with for a more modern look. The outside of the wood sits along old pavers on one side and the house on the other.Did consider ripping up the whole lot but cant afford the paver!!

Look up magazine, watch TV shows, walk around your neighbourhood - ask neighbours - it's amazing what you can find and the ideas they give you.

I would keep the garden bed, not exactly protection against the heat that tree can give in summer, but better than stones or pavers that are much too hot in summer.

usually go for something simple and cheap. i know that there are many shops that sell seconds.

seconds are not second hand but have been reject since they are deemed not good enough, slight crack, wrong colour, end of the design. They are very cheap as they don't have much but for small jobs they are perfect.

No gardener is really good before he has killed one or two plants.
