How to attract Wildlife Posted 110 days ago PLEASE READ THIS EVEN THOUGH ITS LITTLE LONG- I NEED YOUR HELP!!
Hi everyone out there
I live in a little country town called Imbil where wildlife flourish- including deer, ecidnas, Possoms, Paddy mellon Wallabys, bandicoots and much more.
I am writing to ask if anyone can tell me how I cant attracts these amazing creatures, especially the possoms, eccidnas, birds (Kookaburras and parrots)skinks, geckos, blue toungs, frill necks and Frogs? I am a lover of wild life and i have a perfect front yard for all fury, scally, and feathery creatures- as I love them all.
I dont want to touch or hurt these lovely animals i just want to enjoy watching them, as I am off work for 2 years due to Ill health and I would love to experiance seeing the beautiful wildlife amongs my growing garden.
My back yard belongs to my beloved two 1 year old Jack russel x poodles who wouldnt hurt a fly! (Jackapoo's- that are just a little to cute and way to smart)
So Ive seperated just over a 1/4 of a acre yard into 3 areas by fence- back for the dogs, middle for the vegies and herbs and front our roses, native plants , shrubs ect and of course -for the beautiful wildlife. I already have a bird bath and native wild bird sees left out and the King Parrots visit me often. I have also 2 little dishes out near some river rocks under a paper bark tree for the skinks- one has pebles and water in it so they can have a drink- the other is for apple or pair cutt up in small pieces as I have known of skinks eating apple befor- but the sweet fruit also attracts the ants so the little lizards can have a nice feed.
Please if anyone has any helpful hints as to what I can safely leave out for feed, shelter ect then PLEASE let me know. Let me know what you think?
Id be so grateful to hear anyones advice.
Thanks
