which drill bit to use? Posted 278 days ago I need to know which drill bit to use to attach flashing to my corrogated roof. I am using tech screws but I feel I need to drill a hole to start the screw. Thanks in advance. |

RE: which drill bit to use? Posted 277 days ago Hi, Some screws are self drilling however because the end is not as hard as a 'hi speed metal drill bit' they blunt very quickly. You will only need to pre drill a hole of around 4mm then the Tek screw should go in easily. Another method if you don't want to use a drill is to punch a small hole using a hammer and sharp slender centre punch (not a nail punch); watch your fingers though! Alan. |
