I like easy quilting, Ive done a few baby quilts, but the intricate patterns my mum and her friends do are beyond me. I know my mum was doing a quilt by mail, they sent her a patch each month.

I like doing quilting, my first project was a sample quilt all done by hand, very rewarding.

I have done machine quilting. Even if you use plain colours you can highlight them using a double needle or threading two different colours in your needle & using a decorative stitch to sew over the seam on the outside. It's important to iron every seam.I think getting the colours right is the most important thing so I drape fabrics over a chair for a few days & swap around until I find a pleasing combo. I have covered a favourite chair in a quilted pattern to add interest to a small room, it makes me feel good whenever I walk into the room. You will find your own style so enjoy it!
