Bees Aaaaaarrrrrggggg

Posted 306 days ago

Hi all,
Just a small question. I have recently began doing some gardening work at my childrens daycare centre and was informed by the owner that the flowers in the garden beds seem to attract a lot of bees which she is worried about due to the large amount of children there who may or may not have bee allergies so i was just wondering if anyone knows of any plants or some other thing (liquids etc) that can be put in the garden beds to deter the bees
thanks

I cannot understand why people have a problem with bees. Are we becoming a paranoid nation like the States where people freak out if they see a bee! Mankind has been around bees for a very long time without any general decrease in world population due to bees sting attacks.
If any children from the child care centre suffer from anaphylaxis they are required by law to be identified to the administration of the child care centre. The staff is trained to deal with this situation if it comes up usually by the use of an EpiPen and in more severe cases being taken to hospital. Most stings occur on unprotected feet in the months of December, January and February between the temps. of 20 -30 C.
So learn to live with and enjoy these creatures and take precautions.
And by the way what repellant can I get to remove cars from the roads as they kill hundreds of people a year? Any suggestions?
Bud.
