There is a dog forum that may be better qualified to answer your question than I am.

Try searching for "dogzonline."

Maybe someone else on here can help you as well.

hi lyn, In reply too your question about your puppy, my son has a 5year old staffy, and he also likes too sit on our feet and be next too us in any way.. They seem too be very social dogs and crave love and attention..We are blessed with * chevy* and if you require any more info , just contact me on my e-mail add : elmerfudd6@hotmail.com

Hi,

As cute as it is, dogs are pack animals and what he is doing is showing that he is the dominant one because he is on top. I would stop him from doing it. You can still show him love, but you need to establish that you are the pack leader.

I have 2 staffies and she does the same, they are very intelligent and well behaved dogs always content with those cheesy smiles staffies give out. ours has had 2 litters most of her pups are close by or not to far and when we get them all together with the owners at party's they all do the same have to sit on you or there bum has to be on your foot
they are a beautiful dog and as fudd6 said they crave attention and give you heaps of joy

Tomlyn,
I have to agree with Angel1 here I have always been told that if a dog is sitting on you it is trying to establish some dominance and should be stopped. Just move him to one side or onto the floor if your sitting on the lounge, he's only 6 months old, still very much a baby. I love how staffies talk, they're great.
