Suitable Dog

Can anyone recommend a medium sized suitable dog to protect my poultry as i am having fox problems,i live on a half acre block in a small country town.

Our beagle was a good one for chasing the foxes. Tough and fun dog too. Best to cover your whole chook run in good chicken wire. Including over the top. We found the foxes ran around and around the coop and they got so scared they flew out right into the foxes' mouths! We covered the top of the run and made them a house where they couldn't see the foxes. Didn't lose any then.

terriers are really good. very protective and guarding
