Posted 932 days ago okay so in a few days im gonna be getting two pet rats i want to get two of the same gender but which would be best? i have heard that if your tarting off its best to get 2 males as they are not as energetic as females but is this true? The smell is probably going to be your biggest problem. I'm sure two rats in a large enough cage with toys should be able to keep themselves occupied so their energy levels shouldn't matter too much. The more you handle them, the tamer they'll become so I wouldn't worry about them being too energetic to cope with. _________	0 0 Alert moderator
