Microbats

Posted 266 days ago

My husband & I have bought an old house which we are doing up. Since we bought it 2 years ago we have had a infestation of microbats living in one section of our roof. They have got in through rotting eaves & we just can't seem to eradicate them. There would be close to 60 of the little critters.

We are planning on replacing the eaves once we finish off our deck but until then we need a temporary solution to rid our house of the bats. Their smell & their presence is driving us insane.

We had a pest man come & help us take off the corrugated roof & remove them but they came back. We can't afford for him to come back again.

Does anyone have any solution to remove them?

Also how do we get rid of their smell once they're gone?

Do we have to build a bat house as an alternative for them to roost?

Could we get sick from contact with these bats?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You could try putting your questions and problem to the forum people at ABC Scribbly Gum. They would be able to help you I'm sure. They know all about household and back yard wildlife etc. Link below.
