Natural Insect Repellent Posted 327 days ago As I live by myself my Rottie is attached to my hip. For some unknown reason the march flies which are incredible at the moment only get on me one at a time. My dog has thirty or forty all over him. I try to send him back to the house to no avail. Please help me - is there something I can make or use to stop them biting him. I don't use any chemicals. |

RE: Natural Insect Repellent Posted 325 days ago Maybe you could try Citronella. Just rub a small amount on to your hands and wipe hands over the dog where he can't lick it off. Under the neck and behind the neck etc. I have no idea if it will work but you could give it a try. |

RE: Natural Insect Repellent Posted 319 days ago another thing you can try is a liquid available from Petbarn it used to be called fly or insect repella, we had 3 german shephards along time ago and the flies were on them all the time once we sprayed them with this stuff they would leave them alone |

RE: Natural Insect Repellent Posted 268 days ago There is some cream you can get from horse supply shops. I live in central victoria and the flys are a nightmare. It is all natural things in the cream , I think it has rosmary and cedarwood in it. There are still flys buzing around but dont land on you. It is good for humans aswell. |
