At my Wits end digging collie Posted 170 days ago I have a gorgeaous border collie she's a joy, but very trying she won't stop Digging holes. I have tried many things including putting her own feacies in the hole and covering. But with in a couple of days shes back, and its not only one area its most of the back yard. We take her walking every chance we get. Yes its not as much as i would like with work finishing late most days but we throw the ball for her all the time my hubby is getting very peeved with her. Shes part of the family i love her so shes very safe lol but i would love her to stop digging please help |

RE: At my Wits end digging collie Posted 170 days ago There is a web site called "Dogzonline". They have a forum for doggie questions. Give them a try. |

RE: At my Wits end digging collie Posted 155 days ago Border Collies are the most active breed that you can get, If she is bored and not getting enough exersise (2hours of full on running per day) then she will start digging holes. |

RE: At my Wits end digging collie Posted 137 days ago I can sympathise with your position - my dogs continually tried to dig to get to the next-door-neighbours pugs! Chicken wire is the answer. You can peg it down, I also stapled lengths to the bottom plinths of the fence and folded to lie the rest on the dirt. I weighted it down with rocks etc and sprinkled my (non existent) mulch over the top. |
