Dog Deterent

Posted 205 days ago

I have a 1 1/2 year old Pug I got her when she was 6 mths old. The person I got her of used to let her sleep outside. She wasn't house trained. I have tried my best at house training her, she not to bad, but she will wee on my carpet sometimes in the lounge and on my bath mats. I need to know if there is a dog deterent for inside the house I can use.

you could try diluted citronella, it might help but be carefull on the carpet that it doesn't stain, good luck.

Hi irene!

There are lots of deterrents available at pet stores as a spray- there are also 'attractants' such as wee-wee pads, where the dog is compelled to wee on that and not on something else (such as your carpet)
I found that was the final hurdle in house-training my pups - maybe it is so similar to grass? LOL
Congratulations on getting this far with your Pug - i wish you every success in conquering this final step!
