How to stop crows stealing wiper blades from my car Posted 864 days ago At first we thought it was kids but its the birds!!!
We have had an increase in the number of crows in our neighborhood. It seems the birds have taken a fancy to the wiper blades on all the cars in our street. We often find blades on the road up and down our street. It has got to the point were we are all driving without blades and its dangerous. I was buying new blades weekly but now keep a bunch in my car. There has to be a way to stop them. There is a lot of reports on line of this happening but no help to prevent it. I am hoping somebody knows a successful method that can help!!!
Thanks, Bladeless |

RE: How to stop crows stealing wiper blades from my car Posted 863 days ago There are coloured blades available for sale....a long shot but you could try a different colour such as yellow which might not stand out so much and fool the birds into thinking they have already stolen your black ones. I don't know if crows see colours or if there are some colours they prefer but it may be worth a try.
Crows are very intelligent. I have had trouble with crows in my garden in the past but found a road kill crow and put him in my garden in full view and no crow came near my garden for two years....they would fly around my little two acres but not land even when my fruit trees were in full fruit. Not nice having a dead bird lying around but it certainly did keep the crows away.
Good Luck. _________ |
