How do I stop bird flying into my windows Posted 1367 days ago We live in a rural area amongst many trees and we have tinted windows (many). The birds see the reflection of the trees in the windows and fly into the windows thinking they are flying into trees. I get distressed when the birds die and would like to know is there anything I can put onto the windows to stop this from happening. I seem to remember reading about putting a strip of coloured tape across the window but can't remember. The windows are too high to hang crystals, which I have also heard works as they reflect the light and distract birds from flying into the windows. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. |

RE: How do I stop bird flying into my windows Posted 1358 days ago For DebbieMillman: Curtains or some sort of window covering, even paper, would help. May not be practical though. |

RE: How do I stop bird flying into my windows Posted 1347 days ago I have had the same problem with small peewee birds. I printed a few pictures of black cats off the internet and stuck one on each window that the birds were hitting. It worked wonders. |

RE: How do I stop bird flying into my windows Posted 255 days ago check out www.windowalert.com - they have Decals that are put on the outside of your windows - these decals have a component that reflects UV sunlight - invisible to people but highly visible to birds. Birds have much better eyesight than we do. |
