egg laying

Posted 622 days ago

how do i get my chooks to lay their eggs in the nesting box. They all seem to roost in there because when I go to their pen in the morning there is always a lot of poo in the box.

Hi there,
My chickens also sleep in their nesting boxes - despite the fact that there are two perches in the larger adjacent area. This top level is reached by a ramp from the floor of the coop. Each morning when I let them out and feed them, I remove the poo and later in the day I return for the eggs.
