Rivergum Designer Puppies, they are great people and have beautiful puppies and really do care about their animals.
I used to breed Alaskan Malamutes and fell ill so had to go with something smaller my husband and I saw a spoodle and fell in love. We got our dog from Rivergum in 2006 and haven't looked back in fact I'm trying to talk my husband into a 2nd spoodle.

I've had 2 dogs from ACA Breeders Kennels. They're based in Victoria but they have stores across the country. The first one was a Jack Russell x Corgi our family bought 10 years ago and the second a CKC spaniel X JR I bought just a few months ago. The only health issue we've had with them is the first one has a bee sting allergy (now he's getting a little tubby too). We were amazed at the level of professionalism and responsibility they took towards their animals both 10 years ago and now. I don't think there are many pet stores that would actually talk some customers out of pups because they were unsuitable for their lifestyle. Plus, because they have an association with certain vet clinics you know that the staff at the clinic you go to for your pup's vaccinations and de-sexing will have had plenty of experience with puppies. But as with many pet store puppies, you need to do your best to socialise them with other dogs and people while still young because the environment inside a pet store is quite different to the real world and being with their parents. I highly recommend taking your pup to puppy classes and once it's ready, to the dog beach or park regularly and letting it meet other well-behaved dogs.

I worked in the Pet Industry for 5 1/2 years, and there are not many stores that really consider what sort home a puppy goes to, but there are some. Some stores here in QLD are now re-homing animal welfare dogs and cats, rather than selling puppies. However, any puppy needs to be socialised so that it will get along with other dogs and people. This is not a phenomenon restricted to puppies sold from pet shops.

I know the debate about pet shops selling puppies is a big one, and I don't want to stir up this issue, but the regulations are tightening on pet shops selling puppies, and what regulations are there on backyard breeders? Virtually none that I am aware of in QLD, that are enforced anyway. Even registered breeders can be dodgy, although most registered breeders are in it for the breed, not to make money. I have known some of both.

finally.. got our pug x cavalier and we bought him from ACA kennels in wantirna. he is a little pocket rocket and he gets on really well with our boxer. no major issues other than Angus our boxer has had to show him who is top dog. just trying to toilet train him at the moment which is proving to be a bit difficult. oh the joys of finding a little damp patch on the carpet.. his name ... ""TANK""
Found the ACA shop to be execellent..
