Well I got my crop needle but the rearing powder just clogs up the tube, any suggestions? Tried with the spoon but he is to weak for anything else at this stage.

I don't know what a crop needle is, nor have I heard about rearing powder. As I said before - I never had any problems using an eye dropper.

You might need to check the consistency of the mixture you are using. It probably won't hurt to have it very watery to begin with, increasing the thickness of it's consistency as the baby budgies strengthen in their feeding. When I suggested soy milk it was because soy milk was grain based. It didn't do my baby budgies any harm (I wouldn't use dairy milk instead - not good for a bird). Both my baby budgies reached full maturity using the soy milk mix with egg biscuits - gradually reducing the soymilk and replacing it with water.

Tell me more about this rearing powder????

Correction - after initially using the eyedropper with soymilk, we were able to get hold of a syringe to help with the feeds (just verified with my son who remembers the syringes), guess that's similar to a crop needle. My son - who is studying animal science, believes the rearing powder is based on a mix similar to what the egg biscuits are made of.
