raising orphaned budgie

Posted 275 days ago

Hi there, I am trying to rear a baby budgie thats only three days old. Trying to feed with bent spoon but it seems so weak after a couple of seconds. Does anybody know where I can buy a crop needle, tried googling and everything but need it to be in Melbourne. Thanks

I used an eyedropper to feed my baby budgies, I had no problems with this. I started the babies off with soymilk until I found out what the vets recommended to feed them - egg biscuits crushed in water (though I still used the soy milk to soak the biscuits in). I reared 2 baby budgies and one of them is now 8 years old.

Even the hard, dull, dry ground harbours life - which is brought to the surface with the fresh touch of drenching rain (or the humble watering can).

Small syringes are the go too, my neighbours used to chew up seed and hand feed it this when they had a baby budgie that was failing to thrive.
