Ducks Posted 634 days ago What does anyone know about Ducks? I have two pekin ducks around 5-6 months old and am wondering if I need a drake to encourage them to lay? How old should they be before they start laying? |

RE: Ducks Posted 619 days ago Dont know a lot about pekin ducks but we have Muscovey (probably not the correct spelling) and they took 12 months to lay and when they do you will only get an egg maybe every second day and about 10 eggs in total then they will stop again for 4 or 5 months. They are definately not prolific layers. Dont expect to be eating ducks eggs everyday they are very different to chooks. |

RE: Ducks Posted 600 days ago my muscovy duck has a swollen head on the left side and someting that looks like a sore on the side of its head .have checked for ticks ,fleas,mites.none to be found is it possible it could be a ear infection. |
