Silly possum question

Posted 952 days ago

I am hoping somebody can help me with a little ringtail possum that comes on to my verandah each night, has been for four years now. Does anybody know how much a possum would eat in a session as I don't want to encourage others. This one eats out of my hand and if I have to go out I like to leave it something that only he eats and doesnt leave anything behind for any others that may follow. Thanks, Maureen

You don't have to fill him up on anything. Leave a little if you want to then he can go and search out something for himself to fill up on. It's much better if they have to find some food for themselves.

I'd suggest the little ringtail is well pleased with his training methods. Wish I had your dilemma! But seriously, small bit of something at irregular times, and if he is a male, he'll do all the discouraging required to keep the freeloaders out of HIS patch. Nice post.

Thanks hutcho but my last post isnt here for some reason. The fact that he is a male and could fend for himself is what worries me. The little fella only has three legs for some reason and feel for him incase he can't defend off the others, hence the nightly ritual with 'sucker' me!
