Lawn beetle/grubs

Posted 763 days ago

I have a SERIOUS lawn beetle/grub problem. For the last two years I have used a poison but have since seen the error of my way! I do like my lawn (cooling effects and dog area!) and would like to know if there is another, more worm friendly, way to save it?

Try buckets of water with detergent mixed in. Saturate an area where the grubs are and throw a piece of hessian or old carpet over the spot. Next day you should find the grubs clinging to the underside of the hessian.

I have read this but never tried it myself. It would definately save the worms anyway. I ignore lawn grub. The grass comes back in time. Besides they only seem to attack the perfectly grown and fertilised stretch of grass.
