Tropical Garden

Posted 837 days ago

I want to create a tropical garden surrounding my new pool area and have absolutely no idea where to start. Besides palms and Yakka's what else can I plant in Melbourne's climate?. Preferably not to much flower as I dont want to attract bees around the pool area. I have load of other area's not surrounding the pool to fill so I would still love to know of flowering tropical choices for those other areas. Can anyone help? Or direct to someone who could? Can I go somewhere with photo's and get advice? I'm in the western suburbs of Melbourne...

A tropical garden in Melbourne sounds a tad ambitious, but take a trip to the botanic gardens and ask the staff there for some advice. They'll be more than happy to assist. And it's free professional advice!! Can't do better than that. Let's know how you go.
