RE: Cutting large glass bottles Posted 682 days ago G'day Ray, way back when the earth was still cooling, my ol' Dad showed us kids that trick with the string. Raised in SA, they used to have those quart beer bottles, it worked on them, although for the life of me I have no idea why he would've wanted to cut them off. |

RE: Cutting large glass bottles Posted 671 days ago Hi,we also used the burning string method,then we rubbed the glass with an oil-stone (used to sharpen tools ect) This did an excellent job on glass as we used some of them as drinking vessels. |
