Posts: 2 Location: Bundaberg Registered: November 2009	Problem with Ficus Lyrata roots Posted 819 days ago Can anyone help Please -- Neighbor cut down ficus tree due to root invasion onto our property up to the house -- the tree lopper sprayed the cut trunk but now leaves are sprouting from the roots -- sap is still present in roots within 1 metre of trunk -- is there a sure way to kill the remaining roots? Strip back a small section of the bark on the root and paint immediately with straight glyphosate. Do it in a few places it should kill the roots for you. I would pull off the new shoots that appear too. This will keep the roots trying to send out new growth, sapping it of more of it's strength.	0 0 Alert moderator
