RE: Help with composting

Hi all,
I bought a worm farm a week ago and set it up as directed, but today when I lifted the lid to have a peek it is full of ants. I read the previous post about the ant rid but I am worried that my dogs might lick it. Is there any other solution? Will the ants hurt the worms? Do you have to get rid of them? One of my friends suggested sprinkling talcum powder over the ants ( and therefore the worms) but is that reliable and can it hurt anything?
Thanks

talcum powder wouldn't hurt anything. but you should stick to only green scraps not meat or dairy. it should stop the ants
