Composters

Posted 881 days ago

Hi I in the process of buying a new composter and I am looking at the Aerobin type composter. What I need to know if from anyone who has one of these types of composters are they more efficient than the tumble type composter. In other words are they worth the money

Thanks fulto

G'day mate.

They are a lazy man's tumbler. When you turn your compost in a tumbler, you are achieving the aeration much the same way as the air is venting inside the aerobin. If you turn your tumbler once a day, in my opinion is a simpler, cheaper and better alternative than these new gimmicky type designs.

Gardening was meant to be simple. Get a tumbler or a regular bin if you want to call yourself a gardener. Get an Aerobin if you're not into garden interaction and you want to unload your heavy wallet.

Have a top day and let us know what you went for.

Best regards,
Nick
