Paying Tribute Using a Tree

Posted 432 days ago

My Grandmother has just passed away and as a tribute to her I would like to plant a tree in my garden. I'm looking for a tree that flowers in late March/early April (around her birthday). I live in Brisbane and will plant it on a suburban block. I need advice as to what I should plant?

There many plants that would be suitable that flower in late summer but my suggestion is Buckinghamia celsissima. Generaly known as Ivory Curl Tree. It can grow quite tall but it is a fairly slow grower anyway.

Gordonia axillaris
Abutilon (Chinese Bell Flower)
Just a couple more.

No gardener is really good before he has killed one or two plants.
