Can't think why. Southern hemisphere vegetables never run to seed, not even in Autumn. Good one. me love you long time too.

but lingling does not live in the southern hemisphere but in the northern hemisphere... so problem solved right

I think that vegies go to seed much faster in the summer months. Leave one of each to seed and you can get lots of seedlings without paying for the new seed. In the meantime grow more seedlings. I cover a lot of my vegies with shade cloth in the summer, has helped a lot.
