Pumpkin Variety Posted 249 days ago My Jap pumpkin is doing extremely well however it is taking over the entire back yard. I am after an alternate variety(not dry preferably) that wont run as much that I could try next season |

RE: Pumpkin Variety Posted 246 days ago The little "Golden Nugget" pumpkin variety is very tasty and suitable for smaller areas. They give a high yeild, per plant as well. You could give them a try. Hope this helps. |

RE: Pumpkin Variety Posted 246 days ago Is the golden nugget the same as a butternut pumpkin. Had some come up in the compost this year and they were great. Big yield and because they are smaller you don't have to throw that half eaten one out in the crisper after 2 weeks!!!! |

RE: Pumpkin Variety Posted 246 days ago No, the Golden Nugget is a darker orange than the Butternut, rounder and about one and a half times the size of a softball. Also very tasty! I agree, the smaller the pumpkin the better! |
