Staking & pinching out tomatoes

Posted 270 days ago

Which is the best way to stake tomatoes? Each one with a stake, use trellis or wires? Allow 5 flower trusses, then pinch off the tops of each plant? From WA -

If using a wooden stake then do it as you plant the seedlings out. That way the roots don't get disturbed. Us ing a circle of wire netting also works.

I never limit the number of flowers per branch.

Pinching out the laterals is fairly normal practice but not everyone believes it's the best way to go. The choice is up to you
