green rubarah

Posted 782 days ago

Hello,
I planted out a rubarah plant, and have huge green leave(which I know are highly toxic), but the actual fruit itself is still green, It was planted out in Oct, and I live in the south west of WA. my vegie patch gets both morning and afternoon sun and a good watering every second day. Any advice will be great please.

Some varities of rhubarb have green stalks. You have one by the sounds of it.

It still tastes the same as the red stalk kind. I have both growing and if I cook only green stems I use a bit of red food colour to make it seem like the real thing.
