grapes won't develop

Posted 794 days ago

I have a grape vine about 6 years old. Was a cutting from a vine that always produced good crops of grapes. I prune the vines in late winter. The last 3 years it has eventually started developing bunches but they get to the size of a match head, appear to flower and then die. So I end up with nothing. Can someone tell me why this happens and how I can fix this. Thanks

they might be dying due to the last winter frost. Though my grape tree grew quite well without any punning.

No gardener is really good before he has killed one or two plants.

Do you get frost and cold? Grapes do need cold weather (well most varieties). We don't get frost here so cannot grow decent grapes. I would phone a local wine grower and ask them?

Of all the wonderful surprises in life, none is better than seeing that first shoot tear out of the earth and form into a wonderful plant and vegetable.. .
