growing choko

I want to plant a choko vine. I have the choko that has shoots. Do I plant the whole choko with only the shoot poking out or do I plant the whole choko including the shoot? (Like potatoes)

Plant it laying on it's side with some of the shoot poking out.I put mine in last season and got heaps off it and it is now shooting again after trimming off old runners.good luck with it.

have been advised to plant 2 choko's together butt end (shoot end) together. Has anybody got more information on this or any tips on planting choko's.
