Fejoa Anyone?

Posted 251 days ago

Hi;

Has anyone grown fejoa trees before? A friend has told me that their fruit is delicous. I am wanting to try and grow one in a large pot. Does anyone know if this is possible? I live in South East QLD so the climate here is always pretty mild.
Thanks.

I have a fejoa that is loaded with fruit ATM. I live in SEQ too so they grow quite well. Mine has taken 6 years to get a decent crop.

Actually I have never heard of it before. Does anyone have a picture of it and I will research it and see what I can find out also. Get back to you then.

Fejoa's are yummo we had a mature tree in melb when i was a kid.It seemed to be packed with fruit most of the year. I would sit on my horse and poke my finger through the softlike skin and squirt the flesh into my mouth.I never had to go inside for lunch[which made the rest of my family happy].I dont no what vitamins they have in them but i never ever got sick or colds.Every one should have a Fejoa tree they are a very under rated fruit 'LETS HEAR IT FOR FEJOA'S
