Just thought I'd let everyone know Posted 251 days ago Hi, I've just recently joined the forum and after reading through peoples posts, I thought I'd share what I've done.
I live in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia and have just setup/planted my very first vege garden. I've got strawberries, chilli's, spring onion, watermelon, pumpkin, tomatos corn & lettuce - They've all only been in the ground for about 2 weeks now, and have taken off better than I had imagined to start with. My vege patch is under shade cloth and doesn't get a whole deal of good old fashioned sun light (Probably only 2-3 hours a day, to be honest) - But everything is just going nuts!! Obviously, I'll have to wait until everything starts to yield some fruit before I get too excited, but seeing as I'm 26, had no interest in gardening before and it's my first time - I thought I would just share it with everyone. I can't wait to get some of those fresh veges onto the kitchen table! |

RE: Just thought I'd let everyone know Posted 247 days ago You're right about the fruit you may not get any. I would be interested to hear if you do. Good luck with it. _________ Susan Kirk

RE: Just thought I'd let everyone know Posted 243 days ago Its nice to hear that you have discovered the benifits of a vegie patch and that you are enjoying growing your own F&V,
I am only 28 and I love my homegrown fruit and vegies, I have an established patch that my young children and I started a few years back...many of our crops have failed over the years BUT many have done well... I would love to hear how you go with yours... wishing you all the best with your new garden _________ ...MY GARDEN KEEPS ME SAIN... |
