What winter fruits/veges can I plant? Posted 253 days ago The previous owner of the house obviously wasn't much of a gardener, and I'm finishing off the garden renovation with a new vege patch that I've dug from a neglected corner of the yard. As I was clearing the waist-high weeds, I found a thriving chilli plant with chillis on it! |

RE: What winter fruits/veges can I plant? Posted 247 days ago I grow lettuce, bok choy, rocket, coriander, silver beet in winter. All of these (except Silverbeet) tend to bolt (turn to seed) in our hot Brisbane summers. |

RE: What winter fruits/veges can I plant? Posted 244 days ago nice time to grow silverbeet, brocoli, cabbage, cauliflower, ect garlic, leeks, your local nursery person will tell you more, I let a plant of silver beet go to seed so I have in the garden for ever there is a few herbs too that is what is in mine, but I'm sure there is lots more, I also sit the plants in a mixture of seasol for about 10 mins just before planting, it tends to make them sronger and aids them against bugs ect.and spray them with that every few weeks .happy gardening, it is great fun |
