Frost affected tomatoes

Posted 218 days ago

Hi I'm a very new gardener so I apologise for my ignorance. I bought 4 tomato seedlings from a nursery 2 weekends ago. They didn't say anything about when to plant them out so I planted them in the garden the next day.
Then we had a frosty night (and have had another two since then). After that first frost, all the leaves on each plant wilted and shriveled up. I've since learned that tomatoes are frost sensitive and I should have waited until there wasn't a danger of frost before i planted them out.
What I'd like to know is whether or not my plants are doomed to die? If i protect them from frost now will they still grow? is there anything I can do to save them?
Any help that anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to have to say this, but it's extremely unlikely they'll survive, and if they do,they will not do at all well.Best to chalk it up to experience and start again.Been there...
