Lisbon Lemon not flowering/fruiting yet

Posted 219 days ago

Hi all, we bought a nice Lisbon lemon tree about this time last year and put it in the ground. It survived winter and went on to grow and is now thriving. Is now taller than our colourbond fence. Leaves are large and nice and deep green, but have not yet seen flowers....We have a meyer lemon in pot and has fruited several times in last year, and has flowered again. Just wondering if the Lisbon takes longer to start fruiting or could we be over feeding it or something else. We spread rabbit poo and straw around regularly and mulch well. Any suggetions anyone??

Hopefully this Lisbon Lemon will flower in Spring and give fruit after that.
Feeding (and mulching) is useful in Spring, Summer and early autumn. It might have much leafy growth in response to generous use of rabbit poo, but then again it could just be that the two Lemon trees are different in their habits.
Just watch and wait, give it a chance. Then enjoy!
