how do I get the girls?

haha, thought the title might get some interest!!

Im talking about my pumpkin vine.
When it started flowering, I had male and female flowers, and pollinated some, and now have 3 nice pumpkins growing, but for the last month have only had male flowers.

Any ideas on how to get the female flowers on the vine?
My mum suggested tip pruning and they would grow from the side shoots, have tried that, but still nothing.
