Wilted Passionfruit?

Posted 637 days ago

I planted a new black passion fruit vine in about September last year, it was about 20cms tall at the time. Since then, its been going gang busters! Has just been growing up and out over an ever extending trelis..
However, yesterday I noticed the whole vine has just wilted... I live on the NSW South Coast, gave the whole garden a general fertiliser about 2 weeks ago and just in the last few days had a cold snap?
Leaves are still green, just wilted.
Any suggestions on what the problem could be? I have been very proud of this vine and ill be heartbroken if it dies...

Hi Vnessa, did you water after the general fertiliser? I am guessing you did but just in case you didn't, you should give everything in your garden a good drink. Passionfruit need to be watered every day in summer and probably every 2nd or 3rd day in cooler weather. If you did water, then maybe you could try some Seasol. I hope the vine survives for you because I can understand your pride that you have for the vine, I think it must be a thing that passionfruit growers have because I am the same. Good luck.
