I have made it by putting chook poo into an old stocking or something similar and then suspending it in a bucket of water. That way you get nice clean fertilized water that you can put directly on your plants. It is best to leave the mix to 'ferment' for about four to six weeks before you use it and then at a rate of about 1 in 8 firstly. Once that mix is used you can add more water then use at a more concentrated rate. good luck with your cabbages! |

RE: Making Liquid Fertilizer from Chook Poo Posted 647 days ago A easy way to beat the cabbage moth; I tried everything !!! ended up covering the cabbages with some cheap curtain netting. Now the moths have gone,the rain and the sun still gets through,and the vegies are growing great. |
