Growing yellow squash

I have planted some baby squash, the ticket didnt give much information. Does anybody know how they grow, as in climbers of plants. do they need staking etc. Thanks

they are very similar to a zuchinni plant, they do not need to be staked. They grow quite large, our plant is only about 3 months old and spans approx 1 and a half metre by 1 and a half metre. It is about a metre tall and has large green leaves.The squash grow along the ground hiding under the leaves.
