type of soil for garden bed Posted 188 days ago I have a small yard and was thinking of buying a colourbond slimline garden bed with a base to use as a mobile vegie patch. I would build a timber frame to sit it on, and fix castors to move it around to follow the sun. I rang a soil place and was told because it is classed as a large pot you need to put potting mix in, not soil and compost as it will go hard. Surely good soil and compost should do the job! |

RE: type of soil for garden bed Posted 187 days ago For really large pots,I've found that about 30% potting mix and the rest soil /compost works well to stop compaction. |
