Pineapples are a tropical/sub tropical fruit. People have grown them further south by creating a suitable micro climate. Some have even produced fruit but the cold weather doesn't allow the pine to sweeten up.

Pineapples don't like frosts but you may be abe to grow one in a pot as an indoor plant.
