Tomato soil pH. Posted 852 days ago The advice on the info tag of some heritage toms from a very reputable supplier tells me that "lime and fertiliser may be broadcast over the area....the optimum pH is 7. Sort of goes against the grain. Lime and toms? All and any comments and observations welcome. P.S.- they're going very nicely in well composted medium pH5. |

RE: Tomato soil pH. Posted 851 days ago Thanks for that BobbieJ. It's just that a few seasons back I slaughtered a great crop of toms with lime. Should have left well enough alone I guess, but never been known to do that. |
