seed sprouts water - okay for veges?

Posted 735 days ago

I'm wanting to start growing some veges and am also looking into sprouting seeds for salads. The sprouting procedure seems to involve a lot of rinsing. Will it be okay to use the rinsing water to water the veges? Just not sure if the rinsing of the seeds will leave anything in the water that might disagree with the veges.

(We are having trouble sticking with water usage limits and every time we use water to rinse something then let it run down the drain I cringe).

The seed-rinsing is usually only to wet them to crack the hard outer shell that in nature allows them to lie dormant until suitable growing conditions (enough rain) occur. So no problem there. Totally understand about " water down the drain " syndrome!!! Just put the plug in and save it for later. ( It's not all that long ago the bucket was removed from the shower)

Thanks hutcho. I was just not sure if there were toxins or something that might rinse off the seeds.
