tomatoes

Posted 777 days ago

im having a problem with my tomatoes. they are dying off at the bottoms as though they are touching the ground, but are not. it will only spread halfway up the bush. the top is still green and healthy. it is slowly spreading from bush to bush, just halfway up. theres no problem with the fruit, just the leaves. i tried copper spray, fertilizer, shadecloth with no affect. there are no sigh of any bugs. other veges beside tomatoes are healthy. i want to try lanosan but dont know where i can buy it. nusery said they dont make it anymore.

any ideas

I have a problem with my tomatos, they are wilting out of no where for no real reason.. I was only told today that it could be a little grub which sucks the sap from the roots... I checked and found a little white grub.. not sure if this is it or what I can do to control them.
Any sujestions?

Seems like you might have 'Nematodes' attacking the roots of your tomato plant.
These are little white grubs which you'll see buried in the ground around the roots.
Planting Marigold's as companion helps keep them away (chooks love them as a treat too)
