Need Help! Growing Potatoes

Hello,

I have been having a lot of trouble trying to grow potatoes. I have read articles, I have planted them deep, they have grown up, flowered, however the potatoes which do grow never ever get any bigger than about 3cm in diameter which is half the size of the seed potato. I need help. Can anyone suggest anything? I can grow basically everything else that I try haha.
