Rats in Vegie Garden

Posted 145 days ago

I have been growing some terrific herbs & vegies in my vegetable garden but I have this ONE Rat(pest not pet) that keeps crawling along the fence and down my passionfruit vine and eating all the leaves from my broccoli and now he has started on my coriander. Can anyone recommend an organic RAT repellant/deterrant to get rid of him from my vegie patch...Thanks

i've just been reading organic control of household pests by j. french. She has heard that rodents in the house are put off by strong odours eg lavender. Maybe you could plant some in his path? Or even sprinkle the oil around? Sounds a bit of a wishy washy solution for a rat but might be worth a try. I like the snake idea too

An organic solution? What about a cat?
