Black spots on pawpaw tree leaves

Posted 560 days ago

I have a young patch of pawpaw trees which I planted as seedlings in early 2010. They have grown well but over the last couple of months have all been affected by hundreds of black spots on the underside of the leaves. The young tiny leaves are not affected until they get a bit bigger. The leaves eventually become brittle and curl at the ends. I have been spraying with Rogor (recommendation from a nursery, but they were unsure as to what the problem is). The Rogor doesn't seem to be doing much good, although at times it might look that way.
Has anyone had this problem and if so, what can I do to get rid of it?
I live in Brisbane and previous pawpaw trees we have had have not been affected like this.

I have the same problem too but also the blc spot is on my pawpaws. Can you still eat the pawpaws? Other than the black spot they are perfect. We have had alot of pawpaws this year but this is first lot that has developed the black spot. Very annoying.... Can anyone help?
